Thinking ahead

I know that it's only Memorial Day weekend and Christmas is the last thing on your mind...but you have about 5 months to get your act together and begin creating some lovely gifts now. I'll post some ideas for some fall and Halloween crafts too!

For now...I'll just entice you with what "cast-offs you need to begin collecting

Assorted Jars
Gallon Milk Jugs
broken jewelry, pottery and china
Corks
Greeting cards
Purchase worsted MID weight yarns in your choice of colors (I prefer solids)

Spend the weekend taking some great photos (think Christmas Cards or a great scrapbook page)

Enjoy!

Multiple knitting Projects in the Works

I sorted out all my yarn this morning. I have 2 "knifty knitter" loom projects, 2 triangle shawls, a cabled headband, a cabled scarf, a baby prayer-shawl and some glove trims in process. I plan on making a prayer shawl out of "scraps" as soon as I finish these projects and I can't wait to get started on it.

I just learned to cable and feel so smart! I need to "practice" my crochet...since I tore out the first crochet project and used the yarn to make the cable scarf. Can't wait to post some pictures!

Ideas

The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas.

There's an artist imprisoned in each one of us. Let him loose to spread joy everywhere.
--Bertrand Russell

If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.
--Marc Chagall

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
--Louis Nizer

Art is long, but life is fleeting
