Cupcake Card

We're making this card at my next Stamp Camp.

First, cut the cake portion of your cupcake using the Petal cone die.
You don't need to use the entire die, just a portion of it.  I selected a pretty Strawberry Slush paper.
Next you'll need a 2.5 x 3 piece of paper for your cupcake liner.
I used a border punch and then crimped it to give it a more authentic look.
Add some ribbon and a sentiment and VIOLA!  Cupcake Card!

Don't cut the liner until you have added the cake...so you can get the angle correct.  (see top photo)

The image below is a gift card so the liner is a bit more square than the cupcake on the full card.

I added a small 2.5 x 6 rectangle as a card the the back of the cupcake to make a gift card.

I think this is a really fun card to make and share with Friends and Family

Four Feathers

My friend Lisa hadn't been to a card camp in ages.
She loves feathers and I was sad to think she'd only get to enjoy this card on the blog
(or if I mailed one to her).
Imagine My surprise when she was able to attend this Card Camp!

I was right...she loved the card.
The card base is embossed with the Tulip border embossing folder on
Crumb cake (one of my favorite colors to use)
The sentiments are stamped using basic black
Feather are stamped on Very Vanilla or Cajun Crazy using basic black, crumb cake or Cajun craze.
The feathers are cut using the associated die instead of scissors but you have to be very careful to get them aligned perfectly for clear even borders.    My stampers are particular and they were a little frustrated at times when the die moved ever so slightly and they had to trip a feather (or 5).
Can you imagine this card being used for a scouting event?  Or to honor one of the Native American UL Cardinal Women Basketball Players-Jude Shimmel and her now Atlanta Dream sister, Shoni?

Wood You be Mine?

I thought this was the CUTEST stamp set and I bet after seeing this card you will think so too!

This was my first attempt at using the new blend-abilities markers and I am pleased with the results.  I have a lot to learn with these markers.  I've never been very keen on using markers because I don't like the end result of my efforts. This was pretty easy to get a look I liked.

I randomly stamped the wood rounds on Crumb Cake.
THe Very vanilla piece is 2.5 x 3 inches and is stamped with the Hardwood background in Crumb cake which has been stamped off once.

I stamped 2 lumberjacks on  stamped on Very Vanilla, coloring one with my blend-abilities
The hat-Old Olive
The shirt-Cherry Cobbler
The pants-Night of Navy
The boots-Crumb Cake
The Beard-Skin tone assortment

I cut the 2nd beard out and attached with a dimensional.

I cut a few tags using the Banner punch and Viola!
Timber...I have Fallen for you and I bet you will fall for this stamp set too!

Prayer Journal Jars

I'm going on a Mission trip to the Dominican Republic this year.  It is my first international mission trip as I've done 8 or 9 Group Workcamp trips with our church's youth group in the past.   I love mission work as it feels like this is how God intended our days...that they are filled with meaningful work and worship.

To prepare for the trip I created a pray journal jar which is filled with slips of paper that provide journal ideas.   If you'd like a copy of the contents of the jar just leave your e-mail address in a comment and I will e-mail you the word document.

The jar is a clean spaghetti sauce jar.  I printed the tag on the front of the jar on card stock and cut out using my Stampin' Up framelits, a flower punch, leaves punch and a tag punch.

For the lid, I traced the top onto the backside of some designer series paper and adorned with flowers and leaves.

I randomly pull a slip from the jar and write the date on it.  Then I journal in my notebook.  I'll post a copy of my notebook in a future post.

Please pray for me as I prepare to the DR.  I can't wait to see what God has planned for me there!

From the Herd-Pasture Your Birthday

Making Spirits Bright

One LAST "Making Spirits Bright" and this one is for your Birthday.  I've included all the cards I made using this set for one last look, however,

I like the DSP as it add an element of WHIMSY to the card, like champagne bubbles or balloons?  What do you think?

And the final RECAP

I did not create a card using the THANKFUL Stamp.
SO you may see more of this before the year is out!
It is a pretty fun set...and I look forward to using it in the future

Making Spirits Bright-Halloween and New Years

Here are 2 more cards using "Making Spirits Bright"

I attached the stamps to my large clear block and stamped all the images in the set
on one HALF sheet of paper.
The bubbles in the champagne are topped with dazzling details.

This card could be used for an Anniversary, Wedding or any celebration!
I used the new "STAR" embossing folder to add to the festivities.

I just LOVE Halloween and this sentiment--"Bring on the BOOS" made me smile
If I had this card to do over O think I would change up the colors and make the black strip orange and the orange oval black.
I might add a googly eye to the glass to see how that looks too for some added Halloween fun

Making Spirits Bright-Christmas

Here is one card we made last night at Stamp Camp using the Set "Making Spirits Bright".
Too bad this set is retired.
There will be more samples from this set over the next few days.

I stamped the sentiment on whisper white and then used my framelits to cut out the image<  I cut the coordinating  layer from Old Olive which is also the base of the card.

I topped it off with a ribbon bow.
Wouldn't this be cute as an invitation to a Holiday cocktail party?

Here it is using the Square Framelits
